Classes

I love being back in college.  Taking classes, doing homework, reading assignments, all of it is a needed change of pace. I'm taking a Java programming class and a Discrete Structures class.

The Java is just a basic programming class, nothing too exciting yet. Discrete structures is really wonderful.  I love getting into the theory of computer science and logic. I love doing the homework, I almost wish there was more of it.

Finding a Niche

I'm trying to find a place where I am comfortable. Where I fit in. I've been a web designer in the past as well as a Flash animator/designer. I guess these didn't really get me as deep into the details as I wanted to be. I want to get that same lost-in-a-problem place that I get when I'm playing a good game, reading, or painting.

I feel that a general CS degree will allow me to pursue whatever happens in the future. Wherever tech and computing go, I'll be able to be there working with it for a long time.

I've started about 5 blogs in the past.  I've decided to begin another.

This one is about technology. I'm about to begin classes toward a MS degree in Computer Science.  I just want to document the journey for myself and anyone who wants to read about it.

I want to write about my own thoughts and philosophies on technology and how they might evolve as I pursue this course of my life.
